Over a year ago my niece who is now almost 16 years-old held an afternoon tea and had cute little invitations, small sandwiches, little desserts as well as teatime decorations.  I have to say I hadn’t been to a tea party like that ever. I just had to share Madi’s set-up, although it isn’t like the one in Alice through the Looking Glass, it was pretty nice.

Madi's Tea Party-Alice through the Looking Glass

Tea parties do not have to be fancy and you do not even have to have hot tea which my 6-year-old great niece and almost 6-year-old granddaughter can tell you.

I always have loved the story of Alice in Wonderland, so I was really excited to see Alice Through the Looking Glass.

The moment the movie started I became glued to the storyline.  Alice is more of an adult in this movie which brings about looking back and looking forward.  Her character is tougher than in the original which gives her that character a girl can look up to, she isn’t a princess in this one is what I guess I am saying.

Alice has goals in this movie of what she wants in her life.  She also has regrets somewhat from earlier in her life.  The storyline keeps you between the before and the present.  So you will want to pay attention so you can enjoy the whole meaning of the movie. You will also enjoy the characters that you loved from the original movie.

I never give away a movie, so I will leave you with some powerful quotes that you will see parallel the movie as well as adapt to your own life.

  • The only way to achieve the impossible is to believe it is possible.
  • Time is a cruel master.
  • You can’t change the past but I dare say you will learn from it.
  • Every day is a gift, every minute, hour and second.
  • The only thing worth doing is what we do for others.
