I think some people are attacking the writing for a change of pace, since it seems like everyone and their brother are attacking it for being “abusive” or “domestic violence.” I didn’t find the writing all that bad (and I’m pretty critical), given what the book is. It’s not To Kill a Mockingbird, for crying out loud! And, as far as the relationship between the two (since we’re on the topic of 50 Shades), it’s consensual and legitimate.
