Star Wars Rebels: Season Two – Now on Blu-ray and DVD New Clips + Review

Star Wars Rebels: Season Two released on August 30 and I was so excited to be able to preview this new “to me” season.

I enjoyed the first season and was so lucky to be able to prove it while on a trip to LA which you can read here. You can also read my Season One review here.

So let’s get on with Season Two. In Season Two the epic battle to defeat the evil Empire continuesAs Ezra continues his journey to become a Jedi under Kanan’s guidance, the crew of the Ghost bands together with a secret rebel cell an ex-soldiers from the Clone Wars to join a fledgling alliance to restore peace and freedom to the galaxy. As the dark side looms large as Darth Vader dispatches new Inquisitors, setting the stage for a climactic showdown in which terrible truths will be revealed and the lives of our heroes will be changed forever.

The second season opens up with a blast literally as we see the crew of the Ghost has joined up with the infant rebellion forces as they now try to find resources and people to join their group. Of course, it’s not an easy task as now the Emperor has sent his apprentice Darth Vader to take care of these radicals with a more lethal approach and with the power of the Darkside of the force guiding him. The season also introduces a few characters from the past.  Put into the mix a bot to help and hinder the rebellion and on a more personal level with Ezra as the young Jedi padawan must walk a careful line on his destiny and his ultimate choice of the light side or Darkside of the force.

Now my Season Two sits right next to my Season 1 and I am looking forward to Season 3.

With the first Star Wars Rebels, I learned so much about the animation of it all that it really intrigued me.  Now I can’t watch any of the episodes without thinking about all that goes into it.  You can read about back when we interviewed Freddy Prinze Jr. and David Filoni.
