These things tend not to be all that expensive, though it depends on the style you’re after. But don’t forget to add some shade; parasols are fairly cheap.

When a proper heatwave hits, a garden pool goes from sounding like a nice extra to feeling like the most sensible idea anyone has ever had. Which, well, of course it is, as long as you’ve got the room for it! It doesn’t need to be some huge luxury setup either. But just look around for the best above ground pools that you easily have access to, since that can make the garden feel completely different, especially for families, summer gatherings, or those days when the house feels too warm and everyone’s a bit irritable.
