Waking Up as a Jane Doe is the Least of Her Worries in Forgetting Jane

I love a dark, page-turning mystery and “Forgetting Jane” does not disappoint!
From the author, CJ Warrant comes a great story of “Forgetting Jane”, a girl that is found by a bird dog while two men are hunting. Half buried and just about half-dead starts the story of this face-paced story.
Beaten and left to die, Jane is rescued by Harold and his hunting partner one early morning. Luckily for the bird dog, she was discovered or I am not sure she would have been anytime soon. What unfolds is a girl that only can remember the ‘ haunting girl in the yellow’ dress that keeps filling her otherwise empty memory.
Elias McAvoy is haunted as well, by the crushing guilt he feels over the deaths of two women, one by his own hand. He will not and cannot let Jane down too. As an investigator for their police department, he feels that it is his duty to find out what happened to Jane before she was found half-buried in the marshy area.
This book was very easy to follow along and it makes you want to route not only for Jane but for Eli as well. Eli’s need to solve her case and save her is all that is on his mind, or is it? With his haunted past, he feels that he can’t lose Jane also. Someone seems to be following Jane, or it could possibly be her imagination? But when Eli feels it too he doesn’t want to leave her side.
You will have to read this book yourself and find out what your thoughts are until the gripping end. I will say this is one of my favorite books of all time. I appreciate CJ Warrant’s talent of putting together such a masterpiece in the area of reading that I really enjoyed.
