When I first read about this movie I was not totally sold that I would love it, but I knew my husband would be interested. Whenever we watch a movie I always tell him that if we get to the 20-minute mark in the movie and it isn’t of interest we can shut it off.
I am happy to tell you that we watched the whole movie in its entirety. The movie starts out with Federal Agent Robert “Bob” Mazur (Bryan Cranston). He is a husband and a father and yet all of his jobs are undercover and very dangerous. He has a partner that he finds hard to trust at times, but all in all, you can tell they have been partners for a long time.
As you can imagine living a life undercover and not seeing your family as often as you would like is hard. But even harder is living this rough life trying to take down the largest drug and money laundering operation in U.S. history. I think what made this movie even more interesting is knowing it was a true story.

Synopsis:
Based on a true story, Federal agent Robert “Bob” Mazur (Bryan Cranston) goes deep undercover to infiltrate Pablo Escobar’s drug trafficking scene plaguing the nation in 1986 by posing as slick, money-laundering businessman Bob Musella. Teamed with impulsive and streetwise fellow agent Emir Abreu (John Leguizamo) and rookie agent posing as his fiancé Kathy Ertz (Diane Kruger), Mazur befriends Escobar’s top lieutenant Roberto Alcaino (Benjamin Bratt). Navigating a vicious criminal network in which the slightest slip-up could cost him his life, Mazur risks it all building a case that leads to indictments of 85 drug lords and the corrupt bankers who cleaned their dirty money, along with the collapse of the Bank of Credit and Commerce International, one of the largest money-laundering banks in the world.
