Lionsgate presents Touched with Fire Movie Review
“Touched With Fire” from Lionsgate (original title: “Mania Days”; 2016 release; 110 min.) brings the story of Carla (played by Katie Holmes) and Marco (played by Luke Kirby). I was excited when I first found out about this movie. I was diagnosed three years ago as Bi-Polar but more the anxiety/depression. If I am manic at all it is more in talking too fast, but nothing compared to the characters in this movie. I myself couldn’t identify with them due to them having it to the degree they did. Of course, Marco wouldn’t stay on his meds so that didn’t help him either.
Now I haven’t been in a hospital like they were but some parts just seemed like it wouldn’t be normal. For instance, running through the hospital in the night, or some of the other things that went on. In saying that it did have a story to it, albeit it made me uptight. Maybe that was my anxiety coming out.
Katie Holmes did a great job I feel like her character while I hadn’t seen Luke Kirby before (that I know of). You will have to watch the movie and decide what you think about it, as I think this is one that you will have to decide for yourself. If you or someone you know needs some you know needs help have them visit BetterHelp for more information.
