Minuscule: Valley of the Lost Ants DVD Review
What happens when a bunch of black ants and their little lady bug friend steal a picnic basket from a picnic? It starts an animated movie with them fighting with the red ants who want to take over their prize basket.
Although the insects do not ‘talk’ the movie is narrated by Richard Dreyfuss as though he is telling a story. A black ant colony feuding with the Red fire ants Colony with the lady bug ‘stuck’ in between brings you through the whole journey of peril to get their picnic basket prize back to safety. You will enjoy watching the all out war where everyday objects like q-tips become weapons and paper money converted into their version of fighter planes. The lady bug becomes the real star of the movie and helps lead the black ants to victory.
While watching it I did wish they had voices as I could have imagined what they would sound like. In saying that it also helped me use my imagination as a child might.
The family will enjoy this fun movie, and possibly, like myself find a positive to the insects we have to deal with in everyday life.
