At the end of 12 years, it was discovered that about 84% of the test population were faithful to their pills, and there was no difference between both samples in terms of mental health.

There was no significant difference in the number of patients who had second heart attacks, episodes of angina, strokes, and deaths between the two groups. In the second and third research studies, researchers also evaluated research samples for the eye condition-cataract and for cancers. It was discovered, however, that for the groups placed on multivitamin supplement pills, the risk for cancers was reduced by 8%, and the risk for cataracts was reduced by 9% when compared with those placed on a placebo.
