What’s the Point of Growing Hemp Plants?

Hemp is a great little plant with a lot of important uses. Not only that, but it’s incredibly easy to grow, and it’s low maintenance. This makes it perfect for people who may not be used to gardening just yet.

From hemp, you can make your own hemp products, like soaps, hemp flower. You can also make CBD oil, like the ones seen here.

Hemp also produces hemp seeds, which are incredibly nutritious. This can save you money in the long run if you use CBD or hemp products frequently. It’s also just fun to learn how to do things on your own.

But how do you do it?

You Need Light

Hemp can be grown indoors or outdoors, but either way, you’re going to need some kind of strong light to help support the growth. When outside, you have the light from the sun. If you’re growing inside, you’re going to need something like a grow lamp.

For best results, you’re looking for LED lights with a wattage of about 50 per plant. The lights need to emit full-spectrum light, and they should rest roughly a foot and a half away from the plant for optimal growth.

Where to Plant It

If you’re growing hemp plants inside, you’re still going to need a pretty good amount of space for a full-grown plant. A 10-gallon pot should allow you enough room for a plant to grow. Multiple plants will require multiple pots.
