Creating roles and permissions

One of the most important tasks of an administrator is creating and assigning roles to members. Roles give members different permissions and access levels, which can be very useful for keeping the server organized and running smoothly.

To create a role, simply click on the “Roles” tab in the server settings and then click on the “Create Role” button. From here, you can give the role a name and set its permissions.

If you want to assign a role to a member, go to the “Members” tab and then find the member that you want to assign the role to. Next, click on the “Assign Role” button and select the role from the list.

You can also use roles to limit member’s access to specific channels. For example, if you have a channel for announcements, you can restrict access to this channel to members with the “Announcements” role.

Enabling and disabling features

As an administrator, it’s important to be familiar with all the different features that Discord has to offer. Some of these features may be useful for your server, while others may not be.

To enable or disable a feature, go to the “Features” tab in the server settings. From here, you can toggle each feature on or off.
