Disclosure: I am supposed to tell you that my humans received a copy of A Dog's Purpose in order for us to do a review, you know….. watch it. But all opinions are ours.
Well, we will be honest, no one has ever asked us this question. What is our purpose? Possibly I can go back to earlier in our lives. This is Walker, by the way, I figured it would be easier for just one of the three of us to talk. My sisters that live with me are Miley and Annie. My other siblings live with other family members from what I know, I haven't seen them since they left over 8 years ago.
I was actually born with my 6 siblings in a home before where we live now. That was the last time we were all together. Originally I thought they were going to find me a new forever home but one night Ethan's mom, that is my human, heard Ethan tell me that if he could he would keep me. I think that did her in because all of the sudden I had a name and that is Walker.
So I think when I was young like in the photo above my purpose was to be Ethan's best friend. We slept on the couch a lot and he would try to take me for walks. I didn't and to this day do not like a leash. Makes me get all cowery in the corner. Ethan and I are a lot alike people always said. Laid back, and very loving.
Then one day Ethan went away. I wasn't quite sure what happened as he would only come home every-so-often. I think he went away to college. I missed him all of the time, but luckily Miley's person, and Lil'Anne's person still lived with us, so I decided I would just hang out with them.
My new purpose became loving the humans left behind. You know after my human went off to college, he graduated then moved out. So I do see him from time to time, but now I cling to Ethan's parents. I LOVE to sleep on the bed if I can because we got new furniture so we are no longer allowed on it. My human's Mom did get us a huge dog bed to share, which I just love.
I have cost my humans quite a bit of money, more than the rest of my siblings. I ate a corn cob piece when I was really young which made me have to go to where the white coat people seem to live, then a while ago I had to have all of my teeth pulled, well except three. I seem to have the worst luck. But I also hope I live a long, long time because I really love my humans, especially when Ethan stops by to visit.
You will want to watch “A Dog's Purpose” because after you do, you will realize just how much we can love you. We just want to be taken care of, loved, and wanted. You see Bailey, the dog in the movie lets you see just how important you are to us. He shows you the love we feel to our humans, and honestly what we are thinking sometimes.
I do get a kick out of when my humans call me all different names. Come on Walker, c'mon Buddy, c'mon Mr. Puppers or Wally…. it is a good thing I know they are talking about me. Or when they ask, do you want a biscuit? do you want a treat? which sounds like do you want to eat? They are very lucky I am smart because sometimes they sound a bit crazy.
I don't want to tell you too much about A Dog's Purpose but I will include the main idea below. It is a great movie and will really make you think. The most important thing is when a dog is in your life he/she is there with a purpose. He or she is meant to “Be Here Now”.
