Sheer curtains allow a good amount of soft light to enter your home, ensuring that the harsh rays of the sun aren’t directly hitting your face in the living room when you’re trying to wind down and watch a film. Since the Summer months stay bright all the way until 9 pm at night, sheer curtains are a great way to limit the amount of light that streams into your rooms throughout the day. Large throw pillows are a fantastic addition to any couch and will give you some added comfort on top of an eye appealing aesthetic. Look for cushions that are relatively soft, as harder cushions may look a little rigid and won’t be as comfortable to relax on!

Have you ever envied home setups in movies that just look so darn inviting, cozy and relaxing? Chances are, most of these setups have involved throw blankets in one way or another. The addition of throw blankets to any room is a fantastic way to soften the overall aesthetic, add a touch of coziness to space and of course, provide some comfort to anyone who us utilizing the room. Whilst throw blankets aren’t entirely necessary in the summer months, they do come in handy when the weather starts to cool down, ensuring that it is as useful as it is appealing to the eye come Autumn and Winter. It’s a win-win situation in our opinion!
     4. Accessorise!
When it comes to any beautiful living space, accessorizing is an absolute must. When looking towards a soft aesthetic, you’ll want to accessorize with pieces that don’t stand out too much and don’t look too harsh against the rest of your room’s design. Some fantastic ideas for soft accessorizing are some simple flower arrangements, a simple rug under the coffee table, softly lit scented candles, simple lamps and even statement pieces such as modern artwork or a medley or fairy lights to add a touch of magic to your space.

If you’re someone who has a bunch of hard looking chairs around the house, fret not. You don’t have to throw all your furniture out in a bid to create a soft finish to your room. Try adding specialty chair cushions or seat covers to your chairs to soften them out, or even drape some fake fur over your seats to add a fluffy and visually appealing touch of softness to your furniture.
