Peanut Butter Brownie Trifle Dessert
Peanut Butter Brownie Trifle Dessert
There are many things my sister-in-law Niki is great at; but her trifles are like a bit of heaven in your mouth; and her pies? I won’t even go into them as it is early and I haven’t had anything to eat yet. You can always count on her to bring a dessert or a pasta-type of salad to a family gathering. This time she offered to bring her dessert; and who am I to say no?
Here is the recipe for her Peanut Butter Brownie Trifle:
- 21 ounce package of brownie mix
- 10 ounce bag peanut butter chips
- 5 ounce package if vanilla instant
- pudding
- 3 cups milk
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup cool whip
- 24 regular sized peanut butter cups chopped
- Prepare brownie mix according to package directions. Add peanut butter chips. Bake for length if time required by package. Cool completely.
- Cut into 3/4 inch pieces.
- Combine pudding mix and milk in large bowl.
- Beat at low speed for 2 minutes.
- Add peanut butter and vanilla.
- Beat until smooth. Gently fold in half of cool whip.
- Place half brownie in bottom of trifle bowl, top with 1/2 chopped candy and half of pudding. Repeat layers.
- Top with remaining cool whip.
- Sprinkle leftover chopped peanut butter cup candies.
