Pre-Order Link for “Cake My Day” with SweetWorks Giveaway
Disclosure: This is a Fashionista Event and a promotional item was provided to me by Sweetworks. Hosts for this event are Still Blonde after all these Years and ModlyChic.
Baking is like math for me. You start out with pieces/parts and you end up with an end result. This is one of the reasons I was so excited when I was picked to do a post with SweetWorks in combination with Hello Cupcake (the Cake My Day creators). I have to admit my creativity isn’t always spot on, but after seeing creations in the “Cake My Day” book, I am truly in awe. The creativity and thought that has went into their creations is simply amazing. They show how they incorporate SweetWorks candies to make their cakes come to life. They also use everyday food to take it a bit further, again things you would never think of; at least I hadn’t before seeing When you look at one of their cakes, like the one below, you will forget it is a cake.
The “Cake My Day” book is coming out on March 24, 2015, they show you the steps they took to make their creations. You will be amazed, I promise. You can pre-order the “Cake My Day” book and while you are there, take time to enter an amazing prize package valued at over $250. Plus there will be three runner up winners who will each receive a $50 prize package.
Before I get on to my giveaway (Sponsored by SweetWorks Candy), I wanted to share with you my cake creation.
I used SweetWorks large gumballs (eyes, nose and bow tie knot), SweetWorks sixlets, (ears and bowtie) as well as Mint Ovation Sticks (for his whiskers). I also incorporated coconut for his fur and a piece of string for his mouth as I forgot to get some string licorice.
